The Gulabi project is a humanitarian project led by students of the Centifolia 2023 Class of the École Supérieure du Parfum and the Rain Drop Association which acts in India to help the most disadvantaged populations.

To talk a little more about Rain Drop, it is a French association created in 2010 to help rural families in India suffering from drought and poverty.

First of all, they work  for the sustainable management of water in regions suffering from droughts. With local communities, they collect every drop of water and put in place efficient drinking practices that can be  used for domestic and agricultural needs.

Then they work for the planting of trees and for agriculture, in fact the planting of fruit and medicinal trees as well as the practices of sustainable agriculture make it possible to fight against drought and to bring new sources of income to families.

They also help with financial security and offer training. The creation of micro enterprises and training allows farmers and women's groups to ensure their food and financial security. This ensures the sustainability of Rain Drop's actions and the quality of life for families.

Promotion CENTIFOLIA

We are in the first year of a master's degree in valuation and marketing of plants, perfumes and aromas. Gulabi which means rose in Hindi is a nod to our promotion which is called "Centifolia", name of the famous Grassoise rose.

Alexis ROMAN

Founder & Director of RAIN DROP

From a young age, Alexis Roman has felt the desire to come to the aid of populations in need. After many experiences in developing countries, he gradually specialized in fields related to the environment and to tribal and rural populations. His discovery of India and the very strong links he forged with the inhabitants of Bargarh prompted him to create the NGO Rain Drop. He has lived and worked in this small village in Uttar Pradesh since September 2010.

Cedric MICHEL

Awareness Officer

Cédric Michel has felt the desire to help his neighbor since his earliest childhood. His meeting with Rain Drop allowed him to make this desire a reality, by joining an association helping the most vulnerable populations. Cédric thus went to meet the inhabitants of Bargarh for several weeks. Thanks to this discovery trip, he became aware of the importance of developing mutual aid and committing to sustainable development. Cédric has since provided support to the NGO, in particular by helping to develop awareness campaigns in France.

Ashok SARWADE

Member of the RAIN DROP association

Ashok Sarwade comes from the state of Maharastra in southern India. Born on a farm, he developed an interest in the welfare and rights of rural populations, especially tribal groups and lower castes. After his studies, he wants to put his skills into practice in the poorest states of India. In 2009, he went to Uttar Pradesh to join the NGO Sarvodaya Sewa Ashram. In 2010, he met Rain Drop and has worked there ever since.
